We don't demand to win, but to play with style

IDEOLOGY OF THE CLUB

IDEOLOGY

Our main focus is to develop technically and tactically strong players capable of making safe and appropriate decisions within the flow of the game. We expect players to be competitive in matches.

STYLE OF PLAY

From a very early age, players learn our “progressive possession” style of play. This refers to maintaining possession in order to attack forward whenever possible.

DIDACTICS AND METHODOLOGY

Using certain English terminologies, as well as number-based positioning, our methodology prepares players for potential opportunities abroad.

ATTITUDE

To stay true to our style, coaches train players to learn and execute our “progressive possession” style of play in both practices and games.

Is there the opportunity to advance forward? If not, work on keeping the ball until we find an opportunity to advance.

Off-the-ball teammates provide a choice of left of, right of, and between opponents for the player with the ball?

Is a player establishing a good body position (profile) before receiving the ball in order to view the field and make a decision BEFORE the ball reaches him? Is the player choosing the correct option according to the game situation?

Philosophy

However, winning is a secondary goal in our younger age groups (under 19). Through our structured and progressive practice plan, players learn to solve soccer problems creatively and skillfully. Soccer is a cognitive game that requires players to choose the correct solutions before executing using the correct technique. Therefore, from the earliest ages, coaches have to emphasize both intelligent decision making (tactical) and correct technique to gain confidence and improve execution in the game environment.

Estilo de Juego

Teams in all categories are expected to build attacks from behind, which means using the goalkeeper and defenders to move the ball and change the point of attack in order to find areas of the pitch where we have numerical superiority. As the ball moves down the field and approaches our opponent's goal, we encourage players to show more creativity and take advantage of 1v1 or 2v1 situations to create scoring opportunities. When the ball is lost, we want the player to instantly transition into a defensive mentality of pressing quickly and getting the ball back as soon as possible to limit fast breaks.

DIDACTICS AND METHODOLOGY

Lastly (and most importantly!), teach players within fast-paced, competitive games to promote intrinsic motivation to play and most of all have fun.

Actitud
